Goin’ out backpackin’ is maybe the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Once you’re out there there’s really no going back, you just get sucked into it and addicted to it. I don’t know what it is, I guess it’s just, it’s freedom at its finest. I think a lot of people just don’t realize what they’re in for until they actually just get out and do it. And it’s one of those things that you really just can not exactly describe, uhm it’s something you have to experience first hand in order to understand.
It makes you realize that most of the people aren’t like you, you know, but they’re out there. Travelling forces you to experience this. Bein’ a kid of the sun, well you know island hopping what’s not to love, it’s escapism from responsibility, it’s a break, all you have to do is float around, there’s no responsibilities or anything to worry about, no obligations, everyday is just your own whim of where you wanna go and when and how. Hitchhiking through the mountains of malaysa or fly off to the middle east the next day, havin’ that freedom is heaven, it’s perfection.
You are scared but you don’t have to be
home is what you feel when you are surfing on the sea
You can change to someone
you can change to someone
you can change to someone new
Backpackin’ is a transposition into the life of driftwood, you know you’re stayin’ in hostels and shitty places and beautiful beaches, it’s cheap you know, wherever you wanna go you can always make it work, but, you know, nothing like that really gets the point across, it’s something I wish everyone would just take the plunge and go out and do, it’s, you know, whether it’s a matter of money or, or the time you know, or things are holding you back you know, relationships, school, work, whatever, I beg young people to travel, it’s something you just have to get of your ass and do, and you will never regret it, I can’t tell people that enough, like, you won’t regret it.
You are scared but you don’t have to be
home is when you find yourself in places that you see
You can change to someone
you can change to someone
you can change to someone new
